THE Southwest’s leading vein specialist, Dr Haroun Gajraj is starting a new clinic in Bristol. The VeinCare Centre was established by Dr Gajraj 10 years ago and it provides the complete solution for the removal and management of varicose veins, thread veins and the complications of more serious vein conditions such as varicose eczema, phlebitis and ulceration. All the treatments are non-surgical and they are performed on a walk in, walk out basis under local anaesthetic.
The latest key hole procedures do not require a stay in hospital, they have a minimal recovery time and they are associated with an excellent cosmetic improvement. Formerly an NHS consultant vascular surgeon for 13 years, Dr Gajraj is now in private practice specialising exclusively in the management of vein conditions.
As Dr Gajraj explains, “Nearly 50% of the population is affected by varicose veins, thread veins or more serious vein problems.
Unfortunately, access to NHS treatment is very restricted and many people are simply turned away. Most people want to avoid problems such as varicose eczema, phlebitis, bleeding and leg ulcers and they seek private vein treatment at a stage much earlier than can be provided by the NHS. For the last 10 years I have been at the forefront of non-surgical treatments such as VNUS Closure, EVLT and Foam Sclerotherapy. Many of my patients already travel long distances from the Bristol area, Cornwall, Devon, Wiltshire and beyond. The new clinic in Bristol will improve access to good quality private vein treatment.”
The new Bristol VeinCare Centre will be located in Litfield House Medical Centre in Clifton. For more information, or to make an appointment, visit www.theveincarecentre.co.uk or call 0800 698 3467
