About Us

Built in 1830, Litfield House, a grade 2* listed building, located in the Clifton area of Bristol within walking distance of Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge and Clifton Village.

In 1938 the building was converted by a Bristol ENT surgeon Jack Angell-James into Private Consulting and Treatment rooms for Bristol Consultants and Surgeons.  This was one of the first of such practices to be opened in Bristol as until this time consultants would practise in their own homes.

With an ever-growing need for medical facilities, in 2014 the lower ground floor was used to create a Day Surgical Suite to add to the fourteen consulting rooms that the house already had.

To this day it continues to offer the highest level of care from Consultants and Surgeons of the highest expertise in the Bristol area and from around the country with its “Modern Heritage” feel, whilst keeping many of the original features, allowing for consultants to work in our CQC compliant facility and their patients to feel more relaxed in a non-clinical atmosphere.
