Overview
Andrew Mallick has been a consultant paediatric neurologist since 2015. He has a full time NHS position at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and works predominantly in the complex epilepsy service and the neurovascular service. He offers compassionate care to children and young people encompassing the full range of paediatric neurological conditions and strives to do so in a supportive and reassuring environment.
Andrew graduated from the University of Wales, College of Medicine in 2000 with a BSc Cellular and Molecular Pathology (First Class Honours) and MB BCh (with Commendation). He obtained membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is 2004 and is now a Fellow of the RCPCH. He completed a PhD in paediatric neurology at the University of Bristol in 2014. In 2015 he was awarded the prestigious Ronnie MacKeith Prize for those who have made a significant contribution to the field of paediatric neurology.
Andrew is committed to improving the care of children and young people with neurological disorders and held/holds a number of roles in regional and national bodies including Chair of the Southwest Paediatric Epilepsy Network (Nov 2015 – Nov 2024), Secretary of the British Paediatric Neurology Association (Jan 2019 – Jan 2022), BPNA Scientific Committee Member (Jan 2025 onwards).
